The thread of Ariadne
Intelligence can recognize the thread.
Wisdom chooses to hold it.
Character refuses to let go.
The goal isn’t to eliminate all signals except one.
The goal is to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio.
The purpose of the thread is not to shorten the labyrinth.
It is to ensure that, whatever happens inside it, you do not lose your way.
And every generation is entrusted with the thread anew.

Some explanation?
The thread has the cadence of an aphorism rather than an argument.
I also notice something …
The three stanzas form a progression:
- Recognition (Intelligence) > seeing.
- Discernment (Signal vs. noise) > understanding.
- Perseverance (The thread) > remaining true.
That’s almost a complete philosophy in a handful of lines.
