Long ago or recently
they pledged each other
fidelity and love
for ever
Their days were filled
with work and cleaning
raising kids, meals
and sleeping
They stood together
for better and for worse
Knowing each others
strenght and weakness
bright and dark sides
And today they wonder
how they could stay
together
for so long
if it was not for love
